Come join us for a great Cub Scout Family Camp Experience!

Do you want to learn how to survive in the wilderness? Learn some outdoor skills and play outdoor games? Maybe learn how to start fires using primitive skills? Or how to use a knife safely?

Come join us, along with our special guest, Mr Camper Jr, first name Newby…Yes, that’s right, Mr Newby Camper Jr will be at Camp Kaibab to share all of his secret outdoor survival skills with us the weekend of September 18-20, 2015.

Who can come and participate?

Any registered Cub Scout and their family can attend. Webelos Dens can attend, but we’d like to see parents involved, because this is a Family Camp. Brothers and Sisters can participate right along with the Cub Scouts if they can do so safely. If there are older brothers and sisters that will be attending, but don’t want to participate, consider having them become Counselors-in-Training for this camp. More info about that on the volunteer/staff page.

How much does it cost?

Registration will open in late July of 2015. Plan on $25 per family, plus $20 per participant, and $2.00 per person in camp. You can’t camp at a KOA for a weekend for that price, plus get all of the great program. Optional meal plan is available at an additional cost for those that do not wish to cook their own meals.

Pre-registration is required and you need to preregister early to get the above price. After September 7th, the price will increase to $35 per family, and $25 per participant. This is so we can get the additional materials in time for camp.

If you need more information, check out the FAQ at the website, or you can email Bruce Goodman at campkaibab@msn.com with questions or to get added to the 2015 email list for updates. And they are always looking for good-hearted Scouts and Scouters to help get and keep the scouts together, so if you are interested in helping, email him about that also.
