Baden-Powell University is a training extravaganza for Cub Scout, Boy Scout, Varsity and Venturing leaders with hundreds of classes to choose from! Combining the BEST from Cub Scout Leader Pow Wow and the University of Scouting, this is the premier Scout leader training event offered by the Grand Canyon Council. Baden-Powell University provides top quality information, innovative ideas, and essential training courses in an inspirational and enjoyable atmosphere.
This is the only time during the year where you can find, all in one place, the widest variety of Scout leader training opportunities in all of the program areas, Cub Scouts through Venturing. Whether you are new to the program or a veteran, Baden-Powell University will provide interesting courses to train, inspire, and enable you with the tools you need to be successful and make a real difference in the lives of our youth!
Although you can select your classes “on the fly” during this registration, it is suggested that you review the course listing first, and be sure to have a back-up in mind if your first choice is full. Most classes are limited to 30 registrants.

Tips for Registering:
- Please review the 2014 BPU Course Catalog before registering for your classes.
- Decide if you would like to earn a BPU Certificate of Learning and then register for the appropriate classes.
- During registration, hover over the class title for a pop-up description of that course.
- Be sure to register for “Lunch Break or Midway” during the afternoon mini-sessions if you would like time to eat a lunch and visit the outside vendors located in the Midway. Lunch will be available for purchase from outside food vendors or you can bring a sack lunch from home.
Scout leaders and parents are welcome to register for ANY class, regardless of their current position in Scouting.
